Cocoa nibs, woodsmoke, bacon. Only medium-bodied, but such impact and intensity on the palate, voluminous, then finishing tight and saline. Such energy. Great finesse on the palate, great detail on the nose, so fresh and vibrant. Just a brilliant wine, with great character and a unique personality. Delicious young; will be just as good with age. From some of the oldest Syrah vines in the southern Rhône outside Châteauneuf.

Juicy on the nose like a sugar-coated blackberry jelly, with great intensity and persistence of dark fruit. Generous cassis, olive, white pepper, and wild thyme carry through the finish with a light touch of mocha. Enjoyable now with a proper decant or cellar through 2030. Pair with a well-made cassoulet for a comforting match.
