Winemaker Ben Casteel believes that the entry-point wine is often the most reflective of an estate’s quality, and therefore takes the assemblage of this wine as seriously as any of the others he produces. Earthborne aromatics accentuate the scent of fir tips, sea salt, and a dark, fruity tone. The palate flashes mouthfuls of fresh berries, with great sapidity, notes of turned earth, and serious enough structure to lay down should you choose.
