Le Petit Clos is a vineyard that Bernard Fouquet purchased in 2013; these vines had previously been rented to Domaine Huët. The wine is raised in sandstone amphorae and the 2023 version is lovely, offering up a deep, refined and complex bouquet of quince, a touch of apple, chalky soil tones, lanolin, dried flowers and some influence from the amphorae. On the palate the wine is pure, precise and full-bodied, with a superb core of fruit, lovely soil undertow and grip, zesty acids and a long, beautifully balanced and complex finish. Fine juice.
