Decidedly savory, the 2023 Bianco Santa Margherita 23 opens in the glass with shavings of raw ginger, dusty dried flowers and a hint of citrusy spice. It is round in feel, with a pulse of saline minerality up front that beautifully contrasts its ripe orchard fruits. Perfumed and exceptionally long, the 2023 finishes with lovely tension, leaving a tinge of young kiwi that fades slowly. The calcareous soils of Santa Margherita ring true in this elegant Grillo.
