Now this is a wine with class. Polished and finely balanced, it marries fruit density with purity of black cherry and plum, lifted by flourishes of sagebrush and white pepper spice, and a subtle hint of blue fruit. An enduring cocoa-nib intensity threads through the fruit, which remains light and almost ephemeral rather than heavy. A beautifully constructed and truly remarkable wine. Tasted as a barrel sample.
