The 2023 Vin Perdu is bright and punchy. Effusive in the glass, the 2023 offers up an exciting mix of cool blue-toned fruit, lavender, spice and leather. There's terrific depth here. This is one of the best vintages of the Vin Perdu I can remember tasting.

A good, well-structured Bordeaux-style blend that is packed with dark-fruit flavors and savory, cedary accents. Tobacco leaf, black cherries, dark chocolate and bay leaf on the palate, backed by firm, shaping tannins. Based largely on cabernet sauvignon, with syrah, merlot and petit verdot blended in. Drink now or hold.

Amuse Bouche's 2023 Red Wine Vin Perdu gives consumers a chance to try a wine from superstar winemaker Heidi Barrett for less than $100. This blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Syrah, 7% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot doesn't disappoint, delivering loads of ripe cherries buoyed on a full-bodied palate that's supple and suave in feel. Yes, it might show a touch of warmth, but overall, it's pleasing, approachable and would make a great steakhouse or burger wine.
