A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon is native yeast fermented in a barrel with about 5% Sauvignon Blanc. Roughly 12% Sauvignon Musqué clone sees skin contact for 24 hours and most of the grapes are whole cluster pressed on a gentle Champagne cycle. Lovely weight from lees stirring and skin contact with a rounded-out mid-palate with perfect fruit weight and depth. Bright with beautifully pure aromas of yellow apple and green apple skin hinting at white peach. Along with that mid-palate weight, there's a firm spine of expressive acidity, with some almond skin bitterness that turns saline and stony. More nectarine and peach pit add nutty nuances through the finish.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc—it includes 20% Sémillon—was mostly fermented and aged in stainless steel, with 25% going into oak. The result is a gently grassy-herbal wine loaded with grapefruit and nectarine-tinged fruit, plus hints of fig and melon. It's medium-bodied, plump and creamy on the mid-palate, then long and silky on the finish. It's nicely complex and composed.

This smooth, rather deep and partially oak-aged wine shows a rounded texture enveloping fresh citrus, light toast and ginger notes, leading to a touch of vanilla on the finish. It's well done in this style and shows the broadening effect of 20% Sémillon.
