Spice-laden red and black fruits, leafy tobacco, savory flowers, and new leather notes all shine in the 2022 Château Tour Saint Christophe, another brilliant wine from this team. I love its complexity, and it's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with fine tannins, a layered, elegant mouthfeel, beautifully integrated oak, and a great finish. Based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc brought up in 25% new French oak, give bottles 3-5 years if you can and enjoy over the following 15+.

The 2022 Tour Saint Christophe is every bit as impressive as it was from barrel. Rich, ample and quite potent, the 2022 is wonderfully deep and fleshy right out of the gate. A blast of dark red cherry, spice, menthol and blood orange builds as the Tour Saint Christophe gains volume and stature with time in the glass.

Concentrated dark fruit and liquorice notes on the nose - smells ripe and expressive.Lovely purity of fruit, really clean and precise in terms of flavour and texture - tannins are sleek and really drive the wine from start to finish. Feels well proportioned, not too light or too heavy but with sinewy muscle and an undertone of cool blue fruit, crushed stones and hints of espresso. The 15% alcohol is barely noticeable and this is very charming in a rich, almost plush, heady way.
