Lastly, the 2022 Pinot Noir Rosemary's Vineyard is the most mineral-laced and savory, with savory raspberries, dried strawberries, crushed stone, and floral, spicy aromas and flavors. Brought up in 39% new barrels, it's medium to full-bodied, has a pure, graceful texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It will benefit from just a year in bottle and drink beautifully for a decade.

Elegance is the throughline of Talley Vineyards' winemaker Eric Johnson and his formidable wines. The Rosemary's Pinot Noir is sourced from a select site, the coolest on the estate. Winemaker Eric Johnson attributes its special wines to a combination of conditions: the temperatures, thicker skins and the site's shaly loam soils. This wine has a duskier side but is still so lifted and elegant—aromas of smoky violets, dried orange peels and a petrichor mineral tone. The palate is lush but bright, balancing the darker elements of the thicker-skinned Pinot Noir with the expected elegance and freshness of the wines from Talley Vineyards. Flavours of tart blackberries and mint, white peppercorn and a savoury black tea element deliver this wine to its gorgeous finish.

Rich aromas of toasted nuts and woodspice pair with baked plum and light game on the nose of this single-vineyard expression. The palate shows a slightly gamy touch as well, with flavors of sagebrush, berry and plum rising into a peppery finish.

Especially smooth, rounded and melted in texture, this gorgeous wine is steeped in ripe red and black fruit on a full body. Great choice when you want a luxurious, mouth-filling wine that remains well-balanced by good acidity and moderate tannins. Keeps opening up in the glass, making you want to keep sipping. Made from the Wadenswill clone. Sustainable. Drink now or hold.

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2022 Rosemary's Vineyard Pinot Noir waltzes out of the glass with gregarious notes of Morello cherries, mulberries, and fresh blackberries, opening out to underlying cumin seed, violets, and cloves hints. Medium-bodied, the palate is wonderfully juicy and floral with plush tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant. This site is named after proprietor Brian Talley's mother and the vineyard surrounds her house.
