The 2022 Gigondas les Souteyrades is showing well today, revealing a complex, deep bouquet of dark wild berries, licorice, spices, cedar and garrigue. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's dense with a ripe, assertive tannic frame built around a generous, fleshy core of fruit. Finishing with dark wild berry-inflected finish and a long, cedary aftertaste, this powerful but well-executed Gigondas will offer a broad drinking window.

There’s a good sense of freshness to this wine, with lovely raspberry and liquorice notes from the nose to the palate, ending on bright acidity and tensile tannins. The alcohol feels well balanced, there's no excess oak or tannin. Harmonious.
