Coming from a tiny red wine appellation just beside Chablis, the 2022 Irancy has beautiful red berry fruits, dried flowers, savory herbs, and some spice nuances on the nose. It's medium-bodied on the palate, with a round, layered mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. It was raised 24 months in foudre after two months in stainless steel. It's a complex, beautifully textured, character-filled beauty to drink over the coming 10-15 years. Drink 2026-2041.

Richoux’s 2022 Irancy has turned out very well in bottle, emerging from the glass with aromas of red cherry, dried plum and woodsmoke mingled with rose petals, followed by a medium- to full-bodied, lively, and concentrated palate with youthfully assertive tannins and succulent, vibrant acidity, before concluding in a long, perfumed finish.
