Classic aromas of blackcurrants, dark cherries, cedar and graphite. The palate is full-bodied with fine tannins and integrated acidity, giving notes of Damson plums, licorice and boysenberries. Well balanced and refined, with a drying finish. Drink or hold.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Pride Mountain Vineyards at the peak of the Mayacamas, which straddles the Napa-Sonoma county line. The winery often crafts blends with fruit from both counties. Here, 64% of the final blend comes from Sonoma County and 36% from Napa County, which includes 4% Cabernet Franc. The alluring nose offers fragrances of cassis, red currants, mint and sage. Soft, supple tannins frame this medium-bodied red, while a solid core of crunchy acidity grips the palate, resolving through notes of cocoa powder and bright cedarwood as the tannins build to a crescendo. It is a wine well worth cellaring and should drink beautifully over the next seven to ten years.
