The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Pircas also includes 7% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, sourced from Huelquén in the Maipo Valley. Exhibiting a purplish hue, its aromas feature prominent notes of cassis and garrigue, complemented by hints of ash and oak. On the palate, it is dry, rich and grippy, with a slightly concentrated profile leading to a juicy and polished mouthfeel. This enticing red wine showcases a deep balsamic core and a delicately textured palate. The 2022 vintage yielded a more compact expression.

The 2022 Pircas Cabernet Sauvignon introduces itself with a ripe, red-fruited nose with a lifted energy instilled by fresh herbs and cedar aromas. The palate is fresh and high-toned, sitting high in the palate with a seamless, svelte texture that carries through the elegantly drying, beautiful yet introverted finish. This is a beautiful expression of Alto Maipo, albeit a palpably tight one, which I suspect will be remedied with a few years in the cellar.
