The 2022 Nero d'Avola Don Antonio Riserva is dark and brooding, with a whiff of split pine lifting notes of balsamic black cherry, plums and spice. It's significantly more graceful than past efforts, showing a lovely inner freshness while silken textures carry citrus-laced fruits across the palate. Firming tannins frame the finish as the 2022 closes with dark chocolate bitterness and hints of sour berry.
