The 2022 Santenay Village Blanc is the second vintage, though the first was just one barrel and I did not taste it. This year, there are five. The fresh, lively bouquet has subtle sea spray scents mingling with green apples and pear. The palate is well-balanced with a slightly tangy opening. There's fine depth and freshness, the prudent use of new oak allowing the terroir to shine through, especially on the finish. No, not complex, but quite delicious.

An attractively charming, giving wine is the 2022 Santenay Village Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and suave white evocative of white flowers, sweet orchard fruit and oatmeal. Its open-knit style means that it will drink well on release.

A cool, pure and more elegant nose speaks of airy white orchard fruit, lemon zest and a subtle spice nuance. On the palate there is again excellent cut and a driving minerality that adds a sense of lift to the equally dry, youthfully austere and slightly more persistent finale. Good stuff and particularly so for value. *Outstanding, Top Value*
