Red cherries, flowers and pomegranate with a nervy note. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, more on the fuller end of the spectrum, yet very balanced and harmonious, with a tender red-fruit profile and an attractive savory undertone. Great energy. Drink or hold.

The Luciano Sandrone 2022 Barolo Le Vigne shows more opulence and richness, qualities that are surely linked to the hot, dry conditions of the vintage. The wine combines dark fruit, plum, sweet spice, licorice and lightly toasted hazelnut from oak aging, creating a broad and generous aromatic profile. Despite this added richness, it remains firmly in the medium- to full-bodied category, with dry dusty tannins. The 2022 vintage brings greater fruit weight and concentration, giving the wine a more immediate and approachable character, with lots of structural power at the back.
