The Librandi 2022 Gravello is a blend of 60% Gaglioppo and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's Tenuta Arcidiaconato vineyard. The wine pours forth to a darkly concentrated appearance with baked plum and blackberry tartlet. Beyond those bold fruit notes are subtle layers of tarry spice and cured tobacco. Freshness and tart fruit flavors pop through a full-bodied finish. This Calabrian wine hits its stride and finds balance.

The 2022 Gravello Tenuta Aricdiaconato (60% Gaglioppo and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon) grumbles up from the glass with sweet violet flowers, seared meats and smoke. It’s juicy, silken and pliant with tactile minerals and savory spices complicating ripe red berry fruits. The slightest hint of bell pepper alludes to the Cabernet component in the blend. The 2022 finishes fresh with grippy tannins and a saline tinge.

A medium-bodied red, with a core of chalky tannins structuring a well-meshed mix of plumped cherry, cassis, loamy earth and dried tarragon notes. Fresh and balanced, showing a touch of cocoa powder on the finish. Gaglioppo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now. 7,500 cases made, 500 cases imported.

A juicy, fruit-driven and linear red showcasing aromas of cassis, dark cherries and some sweet spices as well. It’s medium-bodied with round tannins. So juicy and velvety, with a caressing texture and delicious fruit character to the finish. Drink now.
