A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot, Hill Family's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the family's vineyards in the southern portions of Napa. The proportion of new French oak is limited, adding just hints of pencil shavings to the notes of black cherries and black olives. Medium to full-bodied, supple and easy to drink, with silky tannins on the finish, this is a fine, balanced effort, even if not overly concentrated or age-worthy.

Spiced and walnuty, this offers ripe dark berries and hints of cocoa and ground spices. Full-bodied, succulent and mouthfilling, with intense fruit character and velvety tannins, finishing with cedary and earthy nuances. Try from 2027.

A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 3% Malbec, and 3% Petit Verdot, sourced from high-elevation sites such as Baker Vineyard in Atlas Peak at 366 metres (1,200 feet) and Windy Flats, complemented by valley floor fruit. This lovely, straightforward Cabernet Sauvignon features black cherry and blackberry fruit supported by fine-grained, nicely structured tannins. Toasty oak, baking spice character, and nuanced graphite mineral notes enhance the medium- to full-bodied finish—a balanced and approachable expression with depth and charm.
