The 2022 Château Haut-Brisson is impressive, with the vintage’s sun-kissed style, while staying more medium to full-bodied, pure, and elegant. Ripe black cherries, currants, crushed stone, and pressed flower notes all shine here, and I love its overall balance and finesse. Given its seamless style, it drinks well today, yet it has ripe, polished tannins and should evolve gracefully over the coming two decades.

As readers may remember, the 2022 Haut-Brisson is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Evoking aromas of cassis, mulberries and flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, round and enveloping with a juicy core of fruit, powdery tannins and a long, saline, chalky finish enhanced by a delicate reduction at this stage. This is one of the most gourmand offerings in the Vignobles K universe.

The 2022 Haut-Brisson is a sumptuous, racy wine. Super-ripe dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, spice and new leather all meld together in a racy, mid-weight Saint-Émilion that is all charm. Soft contours wrap it all together. There's a lot to like here.

Succulent and juicy, this has a really nice easy drinking quality. Fresh and fruity - lots of cherries and berry fruit with high acidity that has an almost citric bitter lemon aspect. Clean and crisp but still with lots of push and width. I especially love the purity of fruit on offer. Charming with crushed stones and a spiced mint aspect on the finish. Will be an approachable crowd pleaser in a year or two.
