From the far Sonoma Coast, the 2022 Pinot Noir Land's Edge Vineyards was aged for 9 months in 32% new French oak barrels. In the glass, it displays a medium ruby color and offers expressive notes of red berries, cranberries, and juniper. There’s a good bit of reduction initially that benefits from a little air at this stage, but it starts to reveal darker notes as it opens, so I would recommend decanting if opening it on the young side. The palate has a wonderful, compact feel, with refreshing lift, fine tannins, and a snappy finish. I personally enjoy the bright and coiled energy that comes through in this one. It’s a lovely wine that is going to drink well over the next 15 years.

Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2022 Land's Edge Vineyard Pinot Noir scoots out of the glass with ready-to-go scents of wild strawberries, kirsch, and redcurrant jelly plus wafts of dried herbs, damp soil, and wet slate. The medium to full-bodied palate is refreshing and crunchy, with energetic red berry flavors and fine-grained tannins, finishing with a mineral lift. Native strains were used for alcoholic and malolactic fermentation and the wine is unfined and unfiltered. Land's Edge Vineyard is sourced from Hartford Court's two Sonoma Coast vineyards, Far Coast and Seascape, both within 4 miles of the Pacific Ocean.

The nose of this Pinot explodes with aromas of roasted cherry, spiced raspberry compote and black tea. The palate is dripping with red berry fruit and bright orange peel acidity, finishing with whispers of sandalwood and clove. Best from 2025-2035.
