Powerfully built yet refined and generous, with rich flavors of blackberry and red currant that take on toasty cinnamon, tomato leaf and spice flavors as this builds toward broad-shouldered tannins. Best from 2026 through 2033. 5,000 cases made.

#82 - Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2025
Refined and pure with delicate notes of damson plums, fresh herbs, crushed blueberries and graphite. The palate is full-bodied with densely packed fruit and finely integrated tannins that are balanced and harmonious. A fine example of merlot done well. Drink or hold.

One of the truly iconic wines of Napa Valley, Merlot from the Three Palms vineyard made Duckhorn a household name. Floral lift, join succulent cherries, and ripe plums rolled in cocoa. Rocky, and dusty minerality bring an alluring finish.

Darker currants, black cherries, spicy wood, and savory floral nuances all shine in the 2022 Merlot Three Palms Vineyard, a blend of 92% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Cabernet Franc aged 18 months in French oak. Medium to full-bodied, round, and supple, it has ripe tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and outstanding length. This clear success for Merlot in a challenging vintage offers lots of charm and character and will keep for at least a decade. Drink 2025-2035.
