A well-crafted, focused and lively Ventoux red with notes of dark cherries, currants, wild herbs and baking spices. Medium-bodied with finely grained tannins. Textural and focused with a transparent character. Vivid and well composed. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink or hold.

The classic 2022 Ventoux Terrasses checks in as a normal blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that was raised all in concrete tank and inox. Its deep ruby hue is followed by a ripe, spicy, peppery, medium-bodied red that has tons of Provençal charm, ripe tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length. It picks up a kiss of spring flowers and violets with time in the glass and is another seriously good wine from this team that way over-delivers.

In conversion to biodynamics. There's a little liquorice note on the nose here that brings some immediate interest. Fairly weighty and concentrated for what is an inexpensive wine. Has good tannic structure too – really punches above its weight, providing real concentration, texture and impact for the price. Good length too. Enjoyable powerful tannic texture that will stand up to hearty dishes. From vineyards situated between 200m and 300m above sea level.
