The second wine of Château Lascombes, the 2022 Chevalier de Lascombes is beautifully textured and medium-bodied, offering bright cassis and darker, almost blue fruits, alongside spicy floral nuances. It has an elegant mouthfeel and a great finish. Aged in oak barrels, this should evolve well for 10-15 years.

Good quality, well measured in its tannic delivery, no need to wait too long to drink but you are getting Left Bank character (not so much Margaux typicity though). It's well spiced, cloves, black tea, fully ripe fruits, clear that the vintage is hot but there is balance here. The volume in this wine is bound to rise over the next few years, as they reduce the percentage of first wine, so it is one to watch. First vintage with Axel Heinz overseeing the blend.
