The 2022 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, and 2% Merlot. Deep garnet-purple in color, after a little swirling, notes of cassis, blackberry preserves, and prunes slowly emerge from the glass, giving way to underlying tar, bay leaves, and crushed rocks hints. Full-bodied, the palate is coated with baked black fruits flavors and herbal accents, framed by firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and savory.

A killer wine and great value, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature reveals tons of cassis and darker, almost blue fruits intermixed with sappy spring flowers, crushed stone, and lead pencil nuances. Based on 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, and 2% Merlot, it's balanced and medium to full-bodied, with beautiful tannins. This is a no-brainer purchase that will drink beautifully for 10-12 years.

Well-priced for the quality, Chappellet's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature serves up bold aromas of mocha, cassis and black cherries. In the mouth, it's full-bodied and packed with flavor, nicely concentrated and framed by supple tannins. It's not overripe—a real risk this vintage—but does have a pronounced mocha note on the lingering finish.

The nose is deep and savory with aromas of poached blood plums, cedar and tobacco leaves. The palate is full-bodied with finely integrated tannins and bright acidity, showing notes of mulberries, blackcurrants and mocha. Giving and powerful. Drinkable now, but best from 2028.
