This has lovely aromas of flowers, blueberries, clay and thyme. Oranges, too. It’s bright, fruit-forward and deliciously open, with a full body, fine-grained tannins and wonderful freshness. 84% malbec and 16% cabernet sauvignon. Drink or hold.

This Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain offers plenty of dark fruited depth and umami richness on the aromatics as smoky soy and hoisin envelope black plums and savoury herbs with a whisper of wild, dried lavender. Dried desert scrub offers a savoury frame with roast sea salt, black plums and anise layering on complexity and balance to this wine's depth and mouthfilling breadth.
