Spiced black cherries, cloves and camphor introduce the 2021 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. It smooths over the palate with juicy red fruits and sweet spices propelled by vibrant acidity. Gently tannic yet quite long and unexpectedly fresh, the 2021 tapers off with a flourish of licorice and violets.

The crackling, astringent nose features aromas of cranberries, plums, pepper, herbs and cocoa. On the palate, an emergent current of milk chocolate brings out a sweeter fruit element, but the slightly metallic spice of pepper lingers beside approachable tannins and acid.
