Vasse’s middle-tier wines once again shine in terms of value for money. Classic Margaret River, this is a fruit-forward Chard that leads with notes of peach cobbler and melon rind. It’s under- pinned by subtle but present toast and lees notes like cream, brioche, flint and oyster shell. A zing of acidity first hits the mouth. It’s rounded by a creamy texture. While there is enough structure, length and pose for this to cellar until 2030 or so, it’s also pretty darn delicious now.

Fresh and creamy with aromas of white grapefruit, thyme, lemons, sourdough and hazelnuts. Medium-bodied with beautiful depth of ripe citrus and stone fruit and a lengthy, creamy finish. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.
