The wine brings together the granite soils of the Dão and the region's native variety. Its serious black fruits and tannins are powerful. Balanced, the wine is juicy and likely to age well. Drink from 2027.

The baked red cherries and Damson plums almost get jammy and a little volatile, but the potpourri and peppery spices offer verve. I like the brightness from the fruit and acidity, which helps create tension on the center palate. Nothing floppy or too full-bodied, but rather firm and energetic at the end. Drink now or hold.
