Plenty of spiced currants, red capsicums and fresh herbs to the nose that follow through to a very tannic palate with some nicely chewy tannins. Densely packed. Better give it a year or two. Try in 2025.

The peachy and juicy 2021 Susana Balbo Signature Cabernet Sauvignon was produced with grapes from Gualtallary (not from their property), which had a superb vintage in the cool and rainy 2021 vintage. As always with the range, it has a small percentage of other grapes—4% Malbec in this case—which might add some unusual floral notes in the variety. It's round and soft, with fine tannins. 35,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2022.
