Originating from vines in Agrelo planted to 8,000 vines per hectare, the 2021 Brioso leads with vivid, delineated aromas of dark fruits, gravel dust, sweet tobacco and dried herbs with a remarkably integrated undercurrent of new oak. The palate is rich, soft and refined, concluding with a long, layered, harmonious finish defined by understated power, fine-grained tannins and an elegantly creamy core. A beautiful balance of classical proportions and contemporary polish, I suspect this will perform beautifully in the cellar over the next 10 years. It's composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Malbec, 18% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot.

A spicy blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 23% malbec, 18% cabernet franc and 9% petit verdot. Vibrant red cherries, plums and bay leaves with a savory, spicy edge. Broad and juicy on the palate with fine-grained tannins and a textured center-palate. Long, subtle finish. Drinkable now, but better in two or three years.
