The 2021 Cabernet Franc Floresta from Pumanque, Colchagua, was half aged in foudres and half in used barrels for up to 14 months. Purple in color. The nuanced nose presents redcurrant and blackberry notes with hints of herbs and ash over a layer of oak. In the mouth, the finely grained, reactive tannins sculpt the mildly juicy flow. This is a Cabernet Franc of lasting fruity flavor that will improve in the bottle.

The 2021 Floresta Cabernet Franc is varietal, serious and harmonious, clean and modern, with integrated oak, moderate ripeness, 13.5% alcohol and a medium-bodied palate. It was produced with grapes from the Pumanque appellation in the coastal part of Colchagua, from vineyards planted in 2006. It finishes with herbal and spicy notes. 13,200 bottles were filled in November 2022.

Strawberries, cherries and fine herbs to the nose with a hint of tamarind and fennel. Quite linear and bright with very creamy tannins and a fruit-expressive finish. Honest and unadorned. Drink now.
