Racy strawberries and haw fruit to the nose with spicy and cedary undertones. Generous fruit and spices with plenty of fine-grained tannins on the medium-bodied palate. Really poised and structured. Drink now, but can hold for a few years, too.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon 1865 Selected Vineyard from Alto Jahuel, Maipo Alto, was aged in 20% new French barrels. Dark garnet red with purple flecks. The fruit-forward nose features plum and blackcurrant jam, bay leaf and black pepper. Indulgent in the mouth, the polished tannins and moderate freshness from the terroir deliver ripe, fruity flavors at the back of the throat. A mild, straightforward wine.
