2021 Prieure de Saint-Ceols Cuvee des Benedictins Blanc (750ml)

Sauvignon Blanc from Menetou-Salon, Loire, France

From the opening, the nose is fully expressed with beautiful intensity on floral notes (lime blossom). Candied citrus fruits (grapefruit, orange) appear as the wine is aerated, as well as notes of pastry (lemon tart). At the very end of the olfaction, fresh and spicy touches of white pepper are present. The mouth is full and well enveloped. The balance of this wine is essentially based on roundness and fat. But the whole remains well balanced thanks to a slightly tangy and salivating sensation at the end of the mouth. Aromas of citrus zest are present on the palate. A slightly bitter finish supports good length.
