The 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, with 7% Merlot and 2% Malbec in the blend, is deep garnet-purple in color. It prances out with wonderfully opulent note of blackcurrant jelly, violets, dark chocolate, and juicy blueberries leading to wafts of iron ore and underbrush. The full-bodied palate is vibrant and refreshing, with tightly wound black fruit and mineral layers, finishing long and fragrant.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is gorgeous with classic Stags leap purity and finesse in its cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as chalky minerality, flowers, and spicy, graphite-like notes. Full-bodied, concentrated, and pure on the palate, it has fine tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish. It's concentrated, but this is more about finesse and elegance.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a gorgeous wine done in the large-scale style favored by the estate. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, new leather, spice, espresso, menthol and copious new oak are all dialed up. As always, the Odette Cabernet is more a wine of style than of place, but its beauty is pretty undeniable. Dense and rich on the close, the 2021 is impossible to ignore.
