After purchasing 100 acres on the west side of Paso Robles in 2001, entrepreneur Eric Jensen began with the goal of growing top-quality fruit, eventually supplying A-list wineries including Justin Smith of Saxum and his neighbor Stephan Asseo of L'Aventure Wines before releasing his first Booker Vineyards wine to great critical acclaim in 2005. Described as "sleek, powerful and stylish Paso Robles wines that appeal to a broad audience" by Eric Guido of Vinous, Jensen's My Favorite Neighbor or "MFN" project was initially named as an homage to his neighbor and mentor Stephan Asseo but quickly came to honor his entire network of growers throughout Paso Robles and their unwavering dedication to producing quality fruit. Crafted from Chardonnay sourced from select vineyards in San Luis Obispo, Paso and to the south in the Edna Valley, Eric aged the elegant 2021 MFN Blanc Chardonnay for eight months in a combination of new and neutral French oak barrels, crafting it to be ready to enjoy now with "the depth and balance to mature beautifully over time" according to Eric Guido of Vinous.
