The 2021 Grenache Sel de la Terre was vinified with 30% whole clusters and matured in concrete and used puncheons. It has deep aromas of cranberry, black cherry, salami, tobacco and Angostura bitters. The full-bodied palate features highly concentrated, nuanced fruit yet is light on its feet, with chalky tannins and fireworks of fresh acidity. It has a long, nuanced finish with a flourish of spicy accents, and although it's lovely now, it will gain complexity in bottle over the decade or more.

Wildly fresh, the 2021 Sel de la Terre makes itself known. Sweet sage and chalk offset blood orange and crushed raspberries. This is softly textured yet lifted in style with crisp red fruits and inner florals, all accelerated by juicy acidity. Tart cherry mixes with sour citrus and spice, finishing with admirable length and remarkably fresh. Wow.

Black cherry, cola, sarsaparilla and even cocoa notes show on the bold nose of this bottling. Roasted cherry and boysenberry flavors decorate the meaty core, where black pepper and soy add savory elements to the likably ripe palate.
