The 2021 Muscatedda is intensely perfumed with wild herbal and botanical notes, hints of exotic tea, juniper and ginger. It’s soft in texture with sour melon, grapefruit and is salty to the core. This leaves the palate dry yet squeaky clean with lingering minerality and a bitter citrus rind note. The Muscatedda is a varietal Moscato Bianco that’s vinified to dryness and refined completely in stainless steel tanks. Aromatically, readers could easily mistake this as a trendy, modern-day Gin.
