The 2021 Barolo Marenca marries Serralunga power with a deep, resonant core of fruit. Ripe red cherry, blood orange, mint, cedar and pipe tobacco infuse the mid-palate with striking textural resonance. The Marenca is a rich, heady wine, but it is not overdone in any way. Fabulous.

The bright ruby 2021 Barolo Marenca is expressive with aromas of medicinal herbs, cherry cordial, fruit licorice, and candied orange peel. Medium-bodied, it has a good deal of power and intensity while also feeling approachable, with ripe tannins and supple, youthful glycerin richness, yet doesn’t feel weighted. It’s long, with some warmth on the finish. Drink 2027-2050.
