The harvest started 21 September. This is a very fine, precise Chablis showing good density, crystalline citrus notes on the palate, a lick of minerality to finish. The Louis Michel philosophy of aiming to express all the terroir influence is very well shown here.

Offering up aromas of pear, citrus oil, freshly baked bread and an attractive touch of reduction, Michel's 2021 Chablis Village is medium to full-bodied, with a satiny attack that segues into an ample core of fruit that's girdled by bright acids, concluding with a saline, floral finish. This is a definite success.
