Dusty dried violets and roses complement black currant and sweet spice as the 2021 Rosso Gravello opens in the glass. This is silky, nearly fleshy in feel, with ripe red and black fruits that are balanced by vibrant acidity. Tannic tension builds with each sip as the 2021 finishes staining and long. Licorice and lavender touches taper off slowly. The Gravello is an enticing blend of 60% Gaglioppo and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon that should hold up well through medium-term cellaring.
