The 2021 Red Blend is composed of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, 12% Syrah, 7% Petite Sirah, 7% Malbec, 2% Grenache and 2% Cabernet Franc matured for 18 months in 50% new French oak. It has a nose of red and black currants, tobacco, oolong tea leaves, potpourri and mossy bark. The palate is medium-bodied, chalky and fresh with layered, nuanced flavors and a long, fragrant finish. This offers great quality for its modest price. 85,000 cases were made.

The 2021 Red Blend comes all from purchased fruit (mostly from Paso Robles) and it's a smoking good blend based on Bordeaux varieties that tastes like it costs three times the price. Cassis, graphite, violets, and classy oak define the aromatics, and it's beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, has a ripe, layered mouthfeel, and a great finish. Don't miss this crazy value in Bordeaux blends from California!

Aromas of blackcurrants and blackberries with hints of violets, black olives and vanilla. Rich and ripe character but with balance and focus. Full-bodied with finely polished tannins and a deep dark-fruited character. Drink or hold.
