This medium to full-bodied, ripe, concentrated, satisfying effort has lots of blueberry and darker raspberry-like fruit, some chocolaty oak and dusty minerality, ripe tannins, and a great finish. I love its overall balance, it has notable purity, and I see no reason it shouldn't evolve for 15-20 years.

A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec, Flora Springs's 2021 Trilogy offers up an intriguing bouquet of ripe cherries, fine sandalwood and a hint of mint too. While not a huge blockbuster wine, it's medium to full-bodied, nicely proportioned and silky in feel, with a lingering finish.

Gorgeous perfumed blue and black fruits, including bramble and blackberries, frame the nose. An herbal mint and eucalyptus note on the nose indicates quality. The fruit characteristics on the palate are concentrated and focused, a study of cohesion in the glass. Velvety smooth tannins and an air of restraint make this a meditative red blend to savour unhurriedly.

Ripe blackberries, cassis, black olives, cedar and vanilla on the nose. Hints of pencil shavings, too. Full and polished with fine and compact tannins and a lingering finish. Bright and vivid. Better after 2025.
