I love that I can get The Federated Lodi red Zinfandel for B21 and a great price. It's the best Zin I've ever tasted, very fruit forward and jammy. Their shipping is also very reasonable. I have purchased several 12 bottle cases. Excellent product and great service

I tasted two vintages of the entry-level wine, starting with the 2021 Pícaro del Águila Tinto. It's ripe and round, with round tannins, velvety and polished, approachable and hedonistic. It's nicely built and serious, very serious for an entry level. 60,387 bottles and 1,968 magnums produced. It was bottled in February 2023.

The 2021 Pícaro del Águila, sourced from old vines in La Aguilera, Ribera del Duero, has a light garnet appearance. The nose offers enticing notes of sour cherry and a hint of blood over dried flowers. Light and lean, the chalky texture and faintly juicy palate lead to a compact, flavorful, lasting fruit finish. This is reminiscent of a Burgundy in its weight and overall feel.
