Now labelled as the 2021 Bourgogne Côte d'Or, the Guillemots' regional bottling is a strong effort in this challenging vintage, delivering aromas of sweet berries, smoke and spices followed by a medium-bodied, ample and fleshy palate. Readers who spend a bit of time in Burgundy may well have unknowingly driven past the vines that produce this bottling, which are located near the Grand Frais supermarket on Savigny's alluvial fan.
