The 2021 Bourgogne Rouge, taken directly from the vat, sported quite a heavy reduction on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins, strict and quite serious, and ample weight on the finish. I suspect it will shave its edges by the time of bottling.

A decent crop around 35 hl/ha for the Bourgogne. Light crimson, slightly dull red fruit on the nose. Builds more on the palate, certainly round enough, a little point of acidity, soft strawberry style. Drink from 2024-2026. Tasted Oct 2022.
