The 2021 Polago is spicy in the glass with an herbal flourish that giving way to dusty rose, licorice and wild strawberries. The palate is round and soothing, with silken textures ushering in plush red fruits and spices all underscored by saturating mineral tones. This finishes with a staining of primary concentration and dusty tannins, yet the 2022 maintains an energetic personality through it all. The Polago, a blend of 60% Sangiovese Grosso and 40% Montepulciano will find its expression at the dinner table.

This Sangiovese-dominant blend, with the support of Montepulciano, leaps out of the glass with lush aromas of cherries and raspberries, with hints of wild thyme and savory spices. The plush wine is juicy, with heaps of mixed berries on the giving and soft palate.
