The 2020 CV Curriculum Vitae, from an old vineyard planted with mixed varieties, was released a little later than in the past. It's toasty and spicy, clean and modern, with good ripeness but without excess. It has 15.5% alcohol and a full-bodied palate with abundant tannins and spiciness. 2020 was a warm year that he compared to 1920, the first year Port was completely sweet. They had to pick the grapes earlier but still achieved that alcohol level and some creaminess in the wine. A very powerful year for CV. It’s an unusual, very powerful red that somehow works. 5,873 bottles and some larger formats produced. It was bottled in March 2023.

A zesty skein of milled pepper, crushed cardamom and clove winds through the flavors of chopped black cherry and baked plum on display in this well-tailored red. Muscular tannins are a limber, integrated frame, and the core of fruit meets accents of Earl Grey, iron and loamy earth that linger on the finish. Touriga Nacional, Rufete, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Donzelinho Tinto. Drink now through 2035. 1,109 cases made, 11 cases imported.
