Perfumed and floral with hints of citrus. Strawberry. Medium-bodied with firm and fine tannins, and a bright and fresh finish. Pretty. Baby Barbaresco. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Langhe Nebbiolo has a medium ruby with an orange tinge. Aromas of anise, cranberry, and spice are followed by a medium-bodied red with fine tannins and an elegant lift. With notes of iron-rich earth, blood orange, and fresh acidity, I would enjoy this with a light chill, although it does have structure. A killer value, this is a good introduction to the wines of Pio Cesare without feeling dilute or watered down. Drink 2023-2030.
