The 2020 Vinha Pan, from a southeast slope planted 40 years ago on very stony clay and limestone soils, has a very clean and expressive nose, floral and perfumed, even peachy. It's juicy and elegant. They reckon the destemmed grapes and the higher temperature of the fermentation that started in 2020 made a big change. It matured in used French oak for two years. It has very fine tannins and a very gentle texture. This is a super-elegant Baga with ripeness, 13.7% alcohol and notable acidity at 5.92 grams. 4,670 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2022.

A pure baga with blackcurrants, spices and a cedary note. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with good balance, chewy tannins and a persistent, fruit-forward finish. A joy to taste now, but will evolve favorably over the next decade.
