Very aromatic with dried orange peel, candied cherries and hints of salted caramel. Also orange blossom. Some mint. Medium body. Fine tannins that are firm and chewy. Plenty of tension here. Drinkable but better in a year or two.

The 2020 Etna Rosso Sul Vulcano opens with all the ash and smoke you'd expect from its name, coupled with dried black cherries, dark chocolate and mint. It's round and supple with a pure blend of red fruits and inner herbal tones, all guided by brisk acidity. The 2020 leaves a lasting concentration through the structured finale. Fine tannins flex under an air of violet inner florals. Donnafugata has improved their Etna portfolio from top to bottom.
